Review of this coming week . . .

Spoiler:

EastEnders

If you needed a tissue when Danielle passed away, you'll need a whole box as the troubled teen is laid to rest in this week's EastEnders.

The week begins with yet more heartache for Danielle's long-lost mum Ronnie when she finds out that her daughter's adopted family have not invited her to the funeral service.

Ronnie decides to hide her pain from the rest of the Mitchells and secretly sets off to attend the burial. However, it's clear that she is not wanted there when both Danielle's other family and her best friend Stacey confront her.

After the burial Ronnie has a heart-to-heart with Andy, who brought up Danielle, and she finally gets the opportunity to explain the circumstances that led to her giving her daughter away.

However, when Ronnie returns to Walford it's clear that the death has pushed her to the brink - will Roxy be able to stop her sister from harming herself?

There's more despair elsewhere when Phil discovers that Peggy has gone abroad and told Roxy to keep him out of The Vic. His mother's rejection leads him to hit the bottle and it's Shirley who comes to his aid.

At first Shirley tries to stop him drinking, however, she then realises that his drunken state could help her to win him back and the two becoming drinking partners.

Shirley's plan appears to work as they grow close again but Phil's drinking has dire consequences for Ben...

Also this week, Peter has a confession for Lauren and there is a break-in at Dot's house.

Coming next week . . .

Spoiler:

EastEnders

Phil's growing battle with the booze lands him in hospital this week when he suffers a bad accident.

Peggy has been trying to convince him to quit drinking ever since her return but her words appear have fallen on deaf ears when he ignores her advice and instead pours vodka on his breakfast cereal. Nice.

When he later turns up drunk in the Queen Vic, Peggy orders that noone serves him a drink and the pair proceed to have a public slanging match in front of the pub's drinkers.

When Phil threatens to sell his half of the pub, Peggy orders everyone to leave. However, just as the last of the regulars are departing Peggy hears a crash on the stairs and runs to find Phil crumpled at the bottom. How seriously injured is he?

What's up with Stacey Slater? That's been the question on everyone's lips as her behaviour has become increasingly erratic and this week her mum Jean comes to a startling conclusion.

It's another dramatic few days for the troubled Slater as she steals from her family and risks having her stall closed down after she goes AWOL. However, it's old flame Max and his ex Tanya who bear the brunt of her actions when she tries to destroy their new-found closeness.

Stacey first marches round to Tanya's house and tries to convince her that she has rekindled her affair with Max and when that doesn't work she gets the keys to Max's place and gets into his bed.

The residents of Albert Square are fast losing any sympathy they may have had for her and even her grandad is threatening to throw her out. But only Jean believes she knows what's really wrong with her daughter. What is it?

Also this week, Roxy gives Ronnie and Jack her blessing and what is Syd hiding from Bradley?
