Tweed faces jail over assaultJade Goody's widower Jack Tweed is facing jail over an assault on a taxi driver.
Tweed, 21, whose reality TV star wife died from cancer last month, was found guilty of attacking Stephen Wilkins in Epping, Essex, last May following a trial at Epping Magistrates' Court last month.
He was warned at the time that he could be jailed for the offence, which he denied.
He is being sentenced at Harlow Magistrates' Court in Essex at a hearing which was brought forward two days from Thursday.
The conviction was the second time in six months that Tweed, of Buckhurst Hill, Essex, had been found guilty of assault.
In September, he was given an 18-month jail sentence by a judge at Chelmsford Crown Court after being found guilty of hitting a 16-year-old boy with a golf club. Tweed denied the assault.
He was released from prison on licence in January, having to wear a monitoring tag and observe a curfew.
The curfew was relaxed to allow Tweed to spend his wedding night with mother-of-two Jade in February after a ceremony in Hatfield Heath, Essex.
Former Big Brother contestant Jade, 27, died barely two months later following a well-publicised battle with cancer. She was buried on Saturday, April 4.

| Quote: | Jade Goody's widower Jack Tweed has been jailed for 12 weeks for an assault on a taxi driver.

Magistrates' chairwoman Margaret Webb told Tweed the bench had considered his "change in personal circumstances" in passing the sentence.
She told him: "We have borne in mind the recent change in your personal circumstances and have reflected this in the length of the sentence, which would otherwise have been 18 weeks."
Before being handcuffed and led to the cells of the court, Tweed was told he would spend half of his sentence behind bars before being freed on licence.
He was ordered to pay prosecution costs of £455 and £200 to Mr Wilkins.
Speaking outside court, Tweed's solicitor, George Kampanella, said: "The family are devastated and feel that Jack has been treated more severely because of who he is.
"We are considering the prospects of an appeal."

How can they claim he's been treated more severely because of who he is?
He's a nobody, and if anything the circumstances of his life recently have made them be more lenient with him.

So he gets 12 weeks for assault, his second conviction in only a few months. If it was anyone else they would have got more than that, it's only because he's Jade's husband and he has just lost her that he's got such a lenient sentance.
