Swayze's memoir due this yearPatrick Swayze's "deeply personal memoir" will hit the shelves this year.
The Dirty Dancing star - who is battling pancreatic cancer - wrote the book with his wife Lisa Niemi.
"The currently untitled book will offer an intimate account of Patrick Swayze's childhood, career and marriage, as well as his brave fight against a diagnosis of stage-four pancreatic cancer, from which he has gleaned wisdom and has remained resolutely optimistic," said a statement issued by Atria Books.
"Swayze's wife of over 30 years, Lisa Niemi, will give insight into the intensity of her experience and the enormity of helping a loved one battle a life-threatening disease."
Despite his cancer battle, Patrick, 56, has continued to star in US TV series The Beast.

Yeah and the scene where Baby keeps laughing as he is touching the side of her body........his annoyance was supposed to be genuine.
In my case he may have become annoyed at me fainting each time
