Ramsay 'sorry' after language rapGordon Ramsay has apologised for offending viewers of his Great British Nightmare programme after Ofcom found he breached rules after offensive language.
Gordon Ramsay's language was rapped by the broadcasting watchdog A statement released on his behalf said: "Gordon had no intention of causing offence and is sorry if Channel 4's scheduling of the programme upset some viewers."
Ofcom noted the first 40 minutes of the show, broadcast between 9pm and 9.40pm, contained 115 examples of 'the most offensive language' - the word f*** and its derivatives.
The watchdog said much of the offensive language was delivered in an extremely intense and at times aggressive manner.
Ofcom received 51 complaints - and said their range indicated a number of regular viewers to the programme were shocked and offended by the combination of the sheer frequency of the offensive language and the way some of it was delivered.
Speaking about the ruling in a statement, Channel 4 said: "We respect that, given the strength of language in the first part of this two-hour special, the programme should have been scheduled later than 9pm."
In a separate ruling, Ofcom also found The Sex Education Show, broadcast on Channel 4 between September and October last year at 8pm was not in breach of broadcasting rules.
The watchdog accepted that some viewers found some of the content challenging in a pre-watershed timeslot.
But it considered it would be an inappropriate limitation on the freedom of speech to prohibit programmes of this nature before the watershed.

me too
he's known for is swearing... it dont bother me as im used to it.... why do people watch it when they know he cant simply do a show without swearing

He's known for his use of that word, hell he even has a show named as such. People should know before they even switch on that the air will be blue when he's around.
