More On The Hardy Travel Issues

Jeff Hardy was recently denied boarding a Southwest Airline flight to his home in North Carolina after appearing intoxicated at the Nashville International Airport's Southwest gate, according to Southwest spokesman Chris Mainz. An employee reported Hardy's suspicious behavior and he was denied entry to the flight. Hardy was not arrested and was offered to take a later flight. "He was very cooperative and there was no altercation," Mainz said. "There was no need to get police." Hardy declined the airline's offer and made other arrangements. I can't imagine WWE is happy with this as it doesn't make them look good when one of their top superstars is caught intoxicated in public. Whether they do anything about it or not remains to be seen. I'm guessing they won't as there was no arrest. They'll likely just let it pass over and hope it dies out. Is that really the RIGHT thing to do though? And doesn't that send a message to other talent that they can get away with stuff like this?

It depends if they consider them a TOP WWE superstar or not, if it was a mid-card wrestler or lower they wouldn't hesitate to fire them, the top card people they'll always cover for

Update:

While WWE won’t be taking any disciplinary action against Hardy for his most recent incident, some "what if" conversations have sparked up within the company. Hardy is obviously a big draw for WWE who also moves a fair amount of merchandise, and would be much more valuable to competition this time around if they were to let him go.

One source says that WWE will be reluctant to call Hardy’s "third strike", as they are very aware of the potential business TNA could do with him after his major push on RAW.

The recent airport incident, where Hardy was allegedly intoxicated in public, was said to be a wakeup call for WWE management and he likely won’t be getting the same star treatment he was before.
