Michael Jackson suffers heart attack - Death Confirmed

Heart attack? Singer Michael Jackson is believed to have suffered a heart attack at his home this afternoon

Singer Michael Jackson is believed to have suffered a heart attack at his home in Los Angeles this afternoon.

Reports say that Jackson, 50, went into cardiac arrest and has been rushed to hospital.

He was seen being taken into an ambulance and moved to a nearby hospital, says US gossip website TMZ.

Paramedics were seen performing CPR on the singer, according to the website,

Jackson's mother was said to be at the hospital to meet her son.

It is believed a call to 911 was made from his home in Holmby Hills, LA, at 12.21pm (8.21pm).

A member of the Jackson family told TMZ that 'Michael is in really bad shape'.

An update on the website says, 'We just got off the phone with Joe Jackson, Michael's dad, who says "he is not doing well".'

The singer is due to play 50 sell-out shows at London's O2 Arena starting in July.

But the King of Pop has already had to postpone the first few nights' shows.

Organisers AEG Live said this was in order to make sure everything for the 'massive and technically complex show' was running smoothly.

But critics say ongoing concerns about Jackson's health are the real reason behind the gigs having to be postponed.

FlakeySugarButt

I'm just watching it on Sky news now. I'm shocked!!
Louise (Admin)

It's Not confirmed Yet, It's only on a Celeberity website TMZ  . . . CNN Curently say He's still in Hospital!!!
hakkie

well, no doubt we will hear more in the morning...
FlakeySugarButt

Sky News reported that TMZ said he was dead, but that LA Times said he was in a coma.

That has now changed to say LA Times is reporting they've had confirmation that he is dead.
urbangirluk

I think its pretty much confirmed as being true.  A lady talking now on Sky News says that the LA Times sets the bar for reporting in that area and they are reporting that he's dead.  It seems like this happened a few hours ago but they've held back on reporting it till now.
Saftlad

On sky news now that he has died of a cardiac arrest. Sad news .
PixieSnowBunny

I'm seriously shocked by this. I've just got up and, after making morning coffee I put the tv on to watch GMTV and it's all over there that he's died. My sympathy goes to his children and the rest of his family.

I've said this on another forum and I'll say it here too:

Yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but at the end of the day a man has just died and a family has just lost a son, a brother and a father. That alone should be enough for people to show some respect.

ive felt myself come close to tears but havent actually cried, been trying to stay tough but its hard at times
Louise (Admin)

I will admit , I too cried. . . . Just like I did when Freddie Mercury passed.

I also cried buckets when Keith Urban was admitted to Rehab a few years ago . . . Dread to think what i'd be like if something happened to him!!!!!!

Jackson's autopsy results revealed
4 hours 34 mins ago

Michael Jackson's ribs were broken as medics frantically tried to resuscitate him from a cardiac arrest, according to the star's autopsy report.

The Sun has revealed shocking details from the King Of Pop's autopsy, conducted after his untimely death on Thursday.

Four puncture sites were found on the 50 year old's chest - appearing to be a result of attempts to restart his heart with shots of adrenaline, according to the publication.

And the star's hips, thighs and shoulders were also riddled with needle wounds.

The leaked autopsy reveals Jackson weighed just eight stone (50 kilograms) when he died. Pathologists found his stomach empty apart from partially-dissolved pills and samples have now been sent for toxicology tests.

Jackson was also discovered to be balding underneath his famed black hair - the document states the star had little more than a "peach fuzz" on his scalp.

Coroner officials found the star had bruising on his knees and shins as well as a cut on his back.

The three hour autopsy on Friday revealed no indication of trauma or foul play, but a final verdict will take up to six weeks as Los Angeles coroner officials are taking extra time to complete toxicology, neuropathology and pulmonary tests before determining the exact cause

I apologize if I have touched a raw nerve, now I shall keep closed mouthed about this situation so I don't cause any arguing.
Lady Rachel

It's just one of those tricky situations isn't it.  i don't think you've upset anyone.

I actually think everyone on here has respected that some may have a different view of the situation.

I loved his music....but not the man.

However of course it is a terrible tragedy for the family & his fans.
