Goody funeral 'to be televised'

WENN
Jade Goody has reportedly made plans for her funeral to be televised.

The former Big Brother contestant has arranged for a large screen to be erected outside the church so that the service can be watched by fans.

Goody is said to have chosen an oak coffin from the Royal Windsor Forest and wants to be taken in a convoy of seven cars from her home to the St. John The Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, according to Metro.

The convoy will rumouredly include a Daimler used by the late Queen Mother, and a Rolls-Royce used by the Sultan of Brunei.

She has also chosen celebrity undertakers F. A. Albin & Sons from ITV1 documentary Don't Drop The Coffin and selected the hymn 'All Things Bright And Beautiful'.

According to The Sun, nurses have told husband Jack Tweed and mother Jackiey Budden that Goody "will probably not wake up" the next time she falls into a deep sleep.

"It's over. Jade barely has the strength to talk. She will occasionally weep, but is too frail now to even squeeze her mum’s hand," a source said.

"The nurses talk to her quietly and do what they can to control the pain. Her disease has been so cruel to her - and for everyone who loves her, we just want her suffering to stop."

im sorry but this should just be left to friends and family

OMG . . . She's hardly Princess Bloody Diana!!!

I'm sorry but this whole thing is making me sick - Death is not a bloody circus!!!!

I'm sick of hearing Jade's Last this & Jades Last That.

I feel for her, I really do But she and her management run the risk of losing the publics sympathy by over saturating people with every Detail.

Who has time to make everything so perfect before they die? It's usually a case of , you're gone with still lots left to say and do.

Apologies if My Opinion offends but I really think it's being turned into a bloody farce now!

Our Lot are the same Julie . . . the news paper comes through the letter box in the morning, then gets thrown against the wall in anger .

I don't agree with her televising her funeral. It should be a personal thing for her family and closest friends.

There would be lots of coverage anyway, from tv crews etc that will be filming the cortege of cars and probably the casket being taken into church. That should be enough really. The service itself should remain private.

the first thing i thought of was 'she's not princess diana'.  I agree it's gone too far now.

There are far too many people losing people on a daily basis and this is making a farce of it all. imo.
Blondie

i agree, i understand why she did the TV show and the magazine interviews to raise money for her sons, but it has gone too far now.

There are 'normal' people in the world who are having the same battle, they aren't making a fuss, they are trying to get on with things and prepare but they are the true heroes.
hakkie

I agree Blondie, most people just have to make the most and get on with it.
I'm glad her sons won't want for anything financially, but now it is going too far.
I wonder how this will affect her sons in years to come, and I still have my doubts about her husband!
Whojamaflip

Correct me if i'm wrong, but hasn't she said she doesn't want her children to see her die...so what about them seeing all over the media then???

She's taking this too far now

She was also not telling them about her illness, I was thinking what if other kids tell them at school, Take care luv Juliexx

i think everyone should stop giving her a hard time.
if she wants it televised then thats her decision - if people dont like it dont watch it its simple.  shes going out the same way as she came in - reality tv star.

cervical smear tests have increased by 20% or something.
i watched her wedding thingy on livng tv and i blarted the whole way through.

I actually liked Jade on BB, I have never watched it since her as it wasnt so funny.

She doesnt want her sons to see her, or know, yet she will have it on T.V
I personally wouldnt watch it.

I am glad cervical smear tests are on the up, but I wonder if it will be a short lived thing. In Scotland the recommended age for smears is 5 years younger than in England, I think that needs to change first.

I don't see her as a celebrity, never have.
However what she is going through is extremely sad, and will be tough on her boys.

I wonder how many people will attend the funeral who didnt even know her. In many ways it is a macabre sense of entertainment for some.

Goody's sons 'won't attend funeral'

Print Story Jade Goody's two sons will not attend her funeral, it has been reported.

Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, are said to be too upset to go to the ceremony next Saturday and Goody's mother, Jackiey Budden, wants to spare them further anguish, the Sun newspaper reported.

Goody's coffin will be driven from south London, where she grew up, to Essex, where she lived, to allow people to pay their respects to the reality television star.

Details of the funeral have been revealed by undertakers F A Albin & Sons.

A statement on the company's website said Jade's mother had visited their office to discuss funeral arrangements.

"The family wish the service to be a grand celebration of her life with music chosen specially by Jade and with tributes led by close friends and family," the statement said.

"The church will hold around 350 people, there will be a PA system to relay the service to people outside the church. The service will also be shown on a screen inside the church hall which will seat a further 200 people."

Goody will then be buried in a private service attended by family and close friends.

The star died of cervical cancer at her home in Upshire, Essex, last week.
