For me I have to say Avast it's been keeping me clear of threats and intruders, and obviously viruses, before they come it says Virus has been detected and removes said virus.

I Must be honest and admit that I don't use any, I find them far too intrusive, what works for me is . . . Common Sense! lol

For me AVG is by far the best and it was recommended to a friend of mine who is an IT platform specialist (whatever that is) but he knows his computers

I use AVG too, I've used a few paid ones, McAfee, Norton, Bullguard, but to be honest AVG Free Edition does pretty much the same job

I used to use AVG but found after it didn't work well with windows vista so now I use avast which I have found to be just as good.
