Friday 31st October...Opening day of the new James Bond film - Quantum of Solace.

Quantum of Solace continues the high octane adventures of James Bond in Casino Royale. Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M interrogate Mr White who reveals the organisation which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.

Forensic intelligence links an MI6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille, a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene, a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organisation, Quantum.

On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the worlds most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano. Using his associates in the organisation, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land. which is however a main source of the South American water supply. In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greenes sinister plan and stop Quantum getting its way.

Louise have you ordered your DVD yet?  I just had a look at Amazone.com and they have it listed now but it's not for sale until the 9th of December and you don't seem to be able to pre -order it.  I looked on the Walmart website and it is available to buy but I'm not sure if you can order from them I've never done it but I have used Amazon.com without any problems so you think it's best to wait?

I wonder if Mel has ordered it? I think I should just put it on my Christmas list and ask hubby to get it for me especially with money begin tight at the moment I shouldn't just treat myself as I'd normally do

Hopefully the extra 10 mins will help ~ Thanks That was weird last night I normally spell check before posting but I pressed Preview before checking and it Submitted it instead then I spent so long faffing around because I wanted to check the info about the order date I ran out of time to edit my mistakes ~ I know I'm a complete idiot but I don't want everyone else to think so too

Anyway I've signed up to get an email sent to me from Amazon.com when the DVD becomes available to order ~ maybe they will send this before the 9th of December so it can be pre-ordered and therefore get sent out as soon as possible, I'm looking forward to getting it although the review on Amazon said it isn't as good as Livin' Right Now but I still WANT IT

My dad's cousin's daughter works for Emi, she gets lots of freebies, she's getting me the DVD on it's release date    I wonder if they've delayed the release date cos she said 1st December to me.  Still as long as it arrives before the 14th then it will be a nice birthday pressie for moi

Just checked Amazon.com again ~ it is still listed as release date 9th of December but I also came across it twice listed as buy now through Amazon but different suppliers ~ I think I'll stick with getting it direct rather than risk trying a different seller!  It's still not listed on the UK site but they are always behind Although saying that I've just seen the book Fortunate Son (release date 1st of January) on Amazon.co.uk but it's not on Amazon.com ~ weird ~ so I've pre-ordered that ~ aren't I naughty

No sign of the book yet, I pre-ordered it through Amazon but I got an email from them at the beginning of the month saying they were still trying to get hold of it for me ~ I haven't heard anything since, I guess I should chase it
